This weekend was essential. I kept busy and was rarely home but I was doing things that I wanted to do. I feel totally re-charged and ready to conquer these next few weeks of exams before spring break.
We also had our first sunny day in what feels like FOREVER. And if you know me, you know how a sunny day can make everything in my world just perfect.
Okay, so it may not look particularly sunny in this photo. But I swear it was. I was running through Lake Shore park and had to stop (also because I was going into cardiac arrest from the hills) to snap a photo of the classic Blue Ridge Mountains. Knoxville has it’s perks.
We were even able to drink a cup of tea on the front porch when we woke up. (^ that’s John)
On Friday night we went to The Casual Pint and had life talks and really good beer. I tried Samuel Smith’s organic chocolate stout. Wow it was good. And unlike anything I’d ever tried.
I read my daily mantras and tried to stay inspired the whole weekend by the ‘little things’.
This weekend felt like a mini vacation. The roommates were all gone and I had a lot of ‘me’ time which I am now realizing was completely necessary.
Today it rained. Boo, Monday.
